Hiring

We are always glad to hear from good carpenters.

Leonard Builders keeps carpenters on staff rather than assembling a crew per job. If that is the way you would rather work, we would like to talk — whether or not we have an opening this week.

What the work is like

Small company, local work, and the same faces on a job from start to finish. You will not be sent two hours down the road, and you will not be one of forty people on a site nobody is running.

The work is varied by its nature — an addition one month, a kitchen the next, a set of dormers after that. Plans are drawn in-house, so when something does not make sense on site the person who drew it is a phone call away.

At a glance
  • Full-time carpentry, on staff
  • Work in Bartlett, Conway, Jackson and Madison
  • Additions, remodeling, new homes and repairs
  • A small crew, run by the owner

Who we are looking for

Carpenters at any stage — someone who has run their own jobs for twenty years, and someone who is a year or two in and wants to learn the rest of it properly. Both are useful to a shop this size.

What matters more than the résumé: turning up, finishing what you start, and treating somebody's house the way you would want yours treated. The rest can be taught by people who have been doing it since 1986.

Get in touch

Tell us a little about the work you have done. If you would rather send a résumé, email it to Kathleen and she will pass it on.

We typically reply within one business day. Your information stays with us.
